WOOFStock!

WOOFStock is the largest dog festival in North America drawing in thousands of dog crazed people (like us) and it takes place in downtown Toronto! Vendors with dog toys, treats, beds, clothes and other canine luxuries filled 6 blocks near the St. Lawrence market. There were bands and lots of human food tents too. Check out the video of Mark dancing with Henry. A few dogs took to the fountain and made a dog pool out of it. Jakey opted out of the fountain in pursuit of his favorite gormet dog treat bakery. Luckily we found it and Jake picked out several cookies and treats.

After WOOFStock we walked through the historic Distillery District, just 1 km from our neighbourhood. This area is home to several Victorian era industrial buildings. Its cobblestone streets are lined with art galleries, swanky restaurants & coffee shops and thankfully, an ice cream shoppe!

At the end of the day everyone was wiped out!

Week 6!

Week 6 has been lots of fun with Henry. He's smiling and laughing now which is the highlight of my day...see the video below.

Jake is certainly not forgotten in all of the baby madness. Here he is polishing off one of his favorite treats...the empty tub of yogurt! Mark played golf today, first time in 2 years, and did great.

The weather has been beautiful this week allowing us to take long walks at the lake. Henry has finally learned that it OK to sleep in his stroller and in his swing making me a very happy (and relaxed) Mom.

We attempted to put him in his sling, however that didn't work out too well as you can see by the screaming red face!

Henry is 1 Month Old!

Henry has had a busy week. Auntie Liza and Uncle Lonnie visited from Michigan, friends Gary Taylor and Bushra Malik also stopped in for a visit. He has officially become the #1 laundry producer in the household. Achieving this feat is no easy task. It takes constant peeing through onesies, receiving blankets and sheets. It also helps when you can pee on your Mom and Dad while they are changing you, forcing them to change clothes too. We had a beautiful weekend and Mark and I got out for a bike ride and a couple of walks along the lake. Jake is getting to be quite the swimmer and enjoying the lake. Of course he will only fetch the stick when there is a treat in it for him. <
